Egypt’s Ambassador to Somalia Waled Ismail said on Sunday that the Egyptian embassy has handed a medical shipment of around two tons to authorities in the African country.
The aid, granted by the Egyptian Agency of Partnership for Development, was received by the Somali health ministry’s undersecretary Abdullah Hashi.
The official thanked Egypt’s government for its efforts to support Somalia. He also expressed appreciation of Cairo’s moves to promote the ties with Somalia.
The shipment comes within the framework of the bilateral distinguished relations, said the ambassador.
